Policy Work

I co-authored a paper that investigates to what extent publicly listed firms in industries relevant to the ocean report on the impacts of their activities on ecosystems. The paper suggests pathways to increase corporate accountability in the ocean.

I regularly contribute to the OECD’s work on Official Development Assistance (ODA) with a specific focus on the Ocean Economy. I contribute to the estimation of headline figures on ODA related to the ocean economy and combatting plastic pollution. I also contribute to maintaining the OECD’s Data Platform on Development Finance for the Sustainable Ocean Economy, which I implemented during my time at the OECD.

I contributed to the Rwanda Economic Outlook in 2023, specifically with respect to the impact of foreign investment in the country.
